Business Development & Marketing Associate – Chapel Hill, NC

Bell Leadership Institute, a respected leadership training and development company located in the heart of Chapel Hill, NC, is seeking a high energy, hardworking professional with exceptional people skills and attention to detail to join our team as a Business Development & Marketing Associate.

The Business Development Associate will work closely with our Business Development team, Marketing Manager, and Client Services Team to support Bell’s client development and marketing efforts. The positive team working environment is task-oriented, client-focused, fast-paced, and excellence-driven.

  • Aid in the design and development of proposals.
  • Support account management teams in fostering ongoing and proactive client relationships.
  • Collect and share relevant company and client research to support business development initiatives including client visits, intake calls, and outreach efforts.
  • Streamline data reporting and assist with the development of a Business Development & Marketing dashboard.
  • Identify and support prospecting and exposure opportunities.
  • Research and apply for industry conferences and speaking events.
  • Assist with social media content collection and coordination with a focus on amplifying our LinkedIn presence.
  • Enter, update, track & report on business development and marketing data.
  • Organize multiple tasks, manage project workflows, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision and a high level of accountability.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining thriving vendor partnerships.
  • Compile and enhance program-specific materials.
  • Personalize client communications to reflect the Bell Leadership brand and create a seamless experience for program participants.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3-5 years business development or marketing experience including client services and data analysis at an advertising/marketing agency and/or in-house at a tech, consumer finance, or innovative, fast-paced professional services firm.
  • Excellent written communication and ability to adapt messages to various audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable reviewing and analyzing business performance metrics, KPIs, ability to pivot when needed.
  • Customer database management and reporting experience.
  • A reputation for developing and maintaining highly collaborative cross-functional relationships.
  • Highly detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-starter with a desire to be part of an energetic client-focused team.
  • High ability to use Microsoft Office 365 Software and experience with Adobe Illustrator, In-Design a plus.
