Kristen joined Bell Leadership in 1997, shortly after moving to North Carolina from Upstate New York. In the beginning she assisted and then managed the Open Programs and survey administration, along with providing support for marketing and technology projects. In 2001, after her first son was born, she decided to return to Upstate New York to be near family. In her tenure with Bell Leadership, Kristen has touched almost all areas of the business. She still resides in New York managing various projects involving the website, marketing, business development and software. Kristen has been with Bell Leadership through some major changes including transitioning from scantron surveys with number two pencils to administering and processing online; no website to a five-page website, to a full-service website; and the growth of staff and services offered. Kristen loves being part of a company and team that truly make a difference in the world. When she is not working, Kristen enjoys time with her husband, their three children and their dog – usually at sporting events or spending time together on Lake George.
Fun Facts About Kristen
Rummy Royal. Growing up, whenever we had family dinners at my Grandparents, we’d end the evening with all of us sitting at the table and playing. We still have the original board and chips, and while we don’t play after every family gathering, we’ve kept the tradition going after Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners at our house.
Stewart’s Chocolate Peanut Butter. You can find a Stewarts shop in almost every town in Upstate New York. Known for their coffee and ice cream, you can find seasonal flavors along with their “flavor of the week” on sale. This one is loaded with peanut butter shavings and the flavor of their chocolate is like no other. Delicious!
Miracle with Apollo 13 in close second place. It’s not often I’ll put everything aside and watch a movie, but if either of these come on, I’m on the couch until the end. Even if you’re familiar with the stories and know the endings, these films keep you captivated and you’ll likely laugh, cry and smile at the screen every time you watch.
A few years ago, I would have said the mountains for the hikes, quiet and nature I’d be surrounded by. Now, I’ll take the ocean any day. Long walks on the beach, the warmth of the sun, sounds of the ocean waves, beautiful sunsets – what’s not to love?
There are so many it’s hard to pick, but the one often referenced most often in the house is the 100 Problem Days Theory. Regardless of our status, age or situation in life, we all face 100 problems a day, from the moment we get up to the moment we go to bed. You can’t stop them from happening; it’s how you handle them that makes the difference.
