BELL PRINCIPLE YOU LIVE BY

“Everyone would do better, if they knew better.” I really appreciate the idea that everyone, regardless of where they are in their lives and careers, can increase their effectiveness by increasing their knowledge and awareness. I was taught early on that it is important to learn new things, to encounter new ideas and perspectives, and I think that this principle really drives home the idea that learning and growing is a life-long endeavor for those looking to get the most out of life.

IF YOU COULD BE ANY ANIMAL, WHICH WOULD YOU BE AND WHY?

So many great choices out there for this, but I suppose I’d say an Osprey. I’m definitely drawn to the idea of flight, but they are also great at fishing, which I like to do but would actually be good at as an Osprey. Certainly would mean an improvement in eyesight, as well.

FAVORITE MOVIE

The Coen Brothers’ O Brother, Where Art Thou. I love the music, the acting is great, there are a million lines in it that have become common sayings with my family. It doesn’t hurt that it being based on Homer’s The Odyssey lets me pretend I’m being cultured and not just watching a Hollywood flick about Depression-era two-bit criminals. It’s bona fide!

WHERE WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO LIVE – OCEAN, MOUNTAINS OR WOODS?

Ideally, the mountains by a moderately-sized river. So many great activities to take advantage of in that kind of place.

BEST SUMMER MEMORY

Tying the knot with my best friend Haley this past summer.
