Brooks Bell Dives Deep into Strategic Planning with Dr. Elizabeth Gulledge

Dr. Gulledge facilitated a series of Strategic Planning meetings with Brooks Bell, with two days at Fearrington Village in Chapel Hill, and three days in Raleigh. Fourteen members of the company explored the organization’s environmental mastery and communicated their individual ideas and goals, leaving with concrete action steps to ensure successful execution of their strategic plan. Brooks Bell partnered with Dr. Gulledge in a similar strategic planning process last year, which set them up for a successful 2017.

Reflecting on how this process changed his mindset, one client remarked, “When we decided to bring the company priorities out to the entire team for discussion, I immediately thought it sounded like adding way too much extra committee to an already committee-driven process, but I think it has actually been a really good thing. I think explaining the offsite process and sharing our thoughts behind the priorities identified has really established a strong buy-in from the team members, in contrast somewhat with last year when the SMT priority planning process was a bit more of a black box. We’ve gotten (and are getting) some helpful thoughts from the team this week, and ultimately I think we will come out with a more aligned “one team” due to this process.” Other participants noted that Dr. Gulledge created an open, positive setting conducive to meaningful and productive dialogue.
