Bill Sanford, MS, is a leadership coach and trainer with an extensive background in bringing out the best in individuals, teams, and organizations. One of Bill’s key strengths is working one-on-one with individuals to encourage performance and achieve measurable results. He is currently working on several BLI initiatives, including the Achiever’s Forum™, a 12-month follow-up system for Advanced Achievement Leadership graduates.

Bill has earned master’s degrees from the London School of Economics and from George Mason University’s Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which he attended on a Morehead Scholarship. He has also graduated from the Thomas Leonard Coaching School, as well as an 18-month program on transformational coaching and facilitation.

Over the course of his career, Bill has designed and facilitated workshops on several leadership topics, including conflict management and team building, for clients in the corporate world, government, higher education, and the non-profit sector.

The first part of Bill’s career was focused on international conflict resolution. His later work included mediating complex public disputes and facilitating dialogues on potentially divisive social and political issues.
After living and working in Prague, Vienna, London,and Washington, DC, Bill returned to his native North Carolina, where he now lives with his wife and three sons.
